Where it All Started: How the Practice of Kalons, Glidewell & Grewal DDS PA Began

Dr. Kalons and Dr. Glidewell met during their freshman year of dental school at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. Their maiden names Shubert and Simmons respectively, they sat alphabetically in labs and became close friends. Over the years they pondered the idea of building a practice together, and in May of 2006, the women dentists made their dream a reality in the heart of Uptown Charlotte. In 2017, they welcomed Dr. Reena Grewal of Michigan to the team.

In January of 2021, the practice officially transitioned from Kalons & Glidewell to Kalons, Glidewell & Grewal DDS PA.

Dr. Kristen Welborne has been a part of the practice since 2010 and Dr. Meredith Gray was the latest addition in 2023.

All of the doctors share similar training and philosophies, which allows them to work cohesively as a team.
