Kristen Welborne, DDS, Uptown Charlotte Dentist

Meet Dr. Welborne

Dr. Welborne is a Charlotte native. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree from Davidson College and she received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. During her dental training, Dr. Welborne participated in extramural rotations at Davis Monthan AFB in Arizona and Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh where she concentrated on prosthodontic and restorative dentistry.

Dr. Welborne impressively built a dental practice in Lake Norman in 1993 while simultaneously raising her young children.

She has participated in numerous programs to give back to the community, notably providing dentistry for underprivileged children, veterans, and migrant workers with mobile dentistry. Dr. Welborne is an active member of the ADA and NCDS and attends numerous CE courses each year in restorative and cosmetic dentistry.

Dr. Welborne has been with Kalons, Glidewell & Grewal since 2010. She truly enjoys providing a gentle yet thorough patient experience. Dr. Welborne is from a family of dentists. Her father, uncle, and cousin were dentists and she currently has two brothers practicing dentistry as well as three sons in dental school. Dr. Welborne is a mother to five children and a grandmother to two little ones.
